Avalanche Bay Indoor Water ParkOverview:
At 88,000 square feet, Avalanche Bay is one of the largest indoor water parks. Its attrcations include Rip Zone, a FlowRider surf simulator, and The Vertigo "toilet" bowl ride. Capitalizing on its location at Boyne Mountain, the park features a ski chalet motif. For example, icicles hang from the ceiling (even in the dead of summer), overhead buckets traveling along a ski lift dump water on guests, and a snowcapped tree fort doubles as a huge water play structure, complete with an "avalanche" of water cascading off the top of the "mountain" every few minutes. The park also features a large arcade with redemption games.Avalanche Bay is located at Boyne Mountain, which also includes skiing, golf, restaurants, shopping, and lodging. Among the onsite accommodations, Mountain Grand Lodge offers over 200 condominium suites.
