During the pre-opening "Sound Check" of the park, the Maximum RPM! coaster was not open. The prototype coaster uses a unique Ferris wheel-style lift to launch the vehicles. The loading station is made to look like the Battersea Power Station depicted on the cover of the Pink Floyd album, "Animals." The coaster vehicles resemble British sports cars.
