Opened in 2014, Adventure Bay is somewhat unique among indoor water parks. Unlike most other similar attractions, such as the Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls, the water park is not connected to a hotel, nor is it part of a resort. As such, it is open to the public (as opposed to many water park resorts, which restrict admission to hotel guests). Owned and operated by the city of Windsor, it also holds the distinction of being a municipal facility.
Like other indoor water parks, Adventure Bay does, however, offer visitors the opportunity to frolic in the water year-round in a temperature-controlled and weather-proof environment. While the park is not particularly large (learn more about behemoth-sized properties at A Lotta Water: Who Has the Biggest Indoor Water Park?), it does pack an impressive array of slides and attractions into its somewhat compact footprint, including a FlowRider surfing ride and an uphill water coaster.
In addition to the wet fun, the park offers Cannon Cove (for an additional fee), a "dry" three-level interactive play area with foam ball shooters, net bridges, and other features. Room rentals are available for birthday parties and other events. There is a gift shop and snack bar on site.
While Adventure Bay does not offer accommodations, visitors could make the park part of a mini vacation by booking a room at a nearby hotel in Windsor.
