Capacity Does not Equal Reality

In the queue for X, a poster shows some of the ride's stats including a "Ride Capacity" of 1680 riders per hour. After having waited in line for two or three hours, it's a cruel irony for passengers to encounter the poster. Ride manufacturers develop theoretical throughput numbers--the passengers a ride can accommodate at peak capacity--but the real numbers are often considerably lower. X has a long boarding process and often has incredibly long lines.
