Haunts will include Wicked Woods (a wicked walk through the park's woods) and Midnight Mansion (which both require an extra fee), plus scare zones and shows, such as Verdict of Sorcery, an ode to Massachusetts' witch trials. 2011 haunts will included The Slaughter House and Trolls of the Blackwater Swamp. The park will offer special activities for younger kids, including trick-or-treating, crafts, storytelling, and a Kids Costume Contest. Fright Fest will also include shows, featuring Deadman's Party (and just what do you get a deadman for a present, anyways?), P.T. Barnum’s Side Show, and Love at First Fright.

The spooky activities will kick off each evening at 6 p.m. with The A-WAKEning, a funeral procession. Great Adventure's 2011 event will also faeture the haunted trails, Escape from the Asylum, Demented Forest, and Project XI: Mortuary Manor, which all require an additional fee. Shows include Demon Barber of Main Street and Fright Fest Freakshow (with freaks imported from Coney Island!). Great Adventure will also haunt the midways with spooky "streetmosphere." For younger kids, the park will present activities such as a trick-or-treat trail and a Monster Mash Bash.

Haunts include Malice in Wonderland, Skull Manor, and Measuring Mortician (hmm, an undertaker AND a mathematician? scary!). There will also be a variety of Halloween shows such as Dead Man's Party and The Awakening and tricked-out rides such as the Alpine Bobsled Terror and the Pirate Ship Siren Song. Past years have included a Spooktacular Street Party. Less spooky offerings will likely include a screaming contest and a trick-or-treat trail.

Would you dare to enter Midnight Mansion? How about Shade Arbor, which is always hidden in mysterious shadows? If not, you could check out the Halloween-themed musical shows, Mayor Slayer’s Monster Mash Bash and Last Chance Legends. Many of the park's rides will be offered with the lights out. For younger kids, expect Scooby-Doo & Friends Trick-or-Treating as well as The Looney Tunes Halloween Dance Party.

The original Six Flags park will join in the Fright Fest celebration with haunted houses such as Cirkus Berzerkus, Skullduggery, and Dead End (I hope that last one isn't about jobs). Fright Fest shows in 2011 will feature Welcome to Arania's Nightmare, WBAT Final Challenge, the rock band Howl, and Dr. Fright's Final Freak Out, an end-of-the-night dance-crazy presentation. For younger kids, the park will offer trick-or-treating and a costume contest at Looney Tunes Spooky Town.
