Massachusetts

Six Flags New England, Agawam (near Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT), MA

The park will present the haunts, Wicked Woods and Midnight Mansion (both require an extra fee), plus scare zones and shows. During the day, Six Flags New England will offer more family-friendly activities, including a trick-or-treat trail.

Missouri

Haunts will include The Farmhouse Haunted Mansion and the Terror Train. The park will offer special activities for younger kids, including trick-or-treating, crafts, storytelling, and a Kids Costume Contest. Fright Fest will also include shows such as The Klone of Rock-n-Roll, and Jim Mackenzie's Intrepid Comedy Sideshow, and Love at First Fright.

New Jersey

Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson (southern part of the state, near the shore), NJ

Fright Fest will kick off its evening activities with The A-WAKEning, a funeral procession. The event will also feature the haunted trails, Escape from the Asylum and Demented Forest, which will require an additional fee. Shows will include The Ghoulmasters Ghosts and a Michael Jackson tribute. For younger kids, Six Flags Great Adventure will present Professor Slither's Creepy Critters (real bats, rats, and other creepy animals), a trick-or-treat trail, Monster Mash Bash, a Wiggles Halloween show, and other activities.

New York

The Great Escape, Queensbury (near Lake George), NY

  • 2009 dates: Sept. 26, 27, Oct. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, and Nov. 1
  • Cost: Included in The Great Escape admission. (Haunted house requires an extra fee.)

The event will feature Skull Manor, a haunted house that requires an additional fee. Shows will include Frightmares. Less spooky offerings will include a screaming contest and a trick-or-treat trail.

Texas

Fright Fest will offer the haunted maze, Mayor Slayer's Midnight Mansion as well as the shows, Last Chance Legends and Creature Feature. Many of the park's rides will be offered with the lights out. For younger kids, there'll be pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, and other special activities.

Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington (near Dallas), TX

  • 2009 dates: Oct. 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, 30, 31, and Nov. 1
  • Cost: Included in Six Flags admission, with the exception of the haunted houses.

Haunted houses will include General Beauregard's Haunted Manor, the Hollywood-themed Studio 13, Skullduggery-The Haunting of Skull Island, and Bloody Mary's Circus of Fear. Fright Fest shows will feature Welcome to Arania's Nightmare, WBAT Fright Time, the rock band Howl, and The Final Freak Out, an end-of-the-night presentation. For younger kids, the park will offer trick-or-treating and a costume contest at Looney Tunes Spooky Town.
