California
Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia (near Los Angeles), CA

There will be four mazes, including Deadman's Bog, Willoughby's Haunted Mansion, and Brutal Planet. Riders will be able to brave the dark on Six Flags' popular coasters, including Scream!, Tatsu, and Colossus--which will run backwards during Fright Fest. Younger kids and their parents will probably want to avoid the gory, PG-13 attractions and head for Bugs Bunny World where the park will have more mild "Twick or Tweat" crafts, games, street entertainers, and a stage show.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo (near San Francisco), CA

Haunted mazes will include Kamp Khaos and Tinseltown Terror (for an additional fee). The park will ofer scare zones as well. There'll be a nightly funeral procession to kick off Fright Fest. There will be magic and hypnotism shows as well as a "Laser Spooktacular." During the day, Discovery Kingdom will cater to younger kids with Halloween-themed sea lion shows, scary storytelling, and a pumpkin patch with sculpted pumpkins.
Georgia
Six Flags Over Georgia, Austell (near Atlanta), GA

The haunted house, which is new this year, is Frightorium. Shows include Dr. Fright's Dead Man's Party. During the day, younger kids can enjoy more mild events in Bugs Bunny World, including trick-or-treating, face-painting, and pumpkin carving.
Illinois
Six Flags Great America, Gurnee (near Chicago and Milwaukee), IL

There will be a nightly Zombie Jamboree Parade. The featured haunted houses will be The Mausoleum of Terror and the new Studio 13. Shows will include Susan Rosen- Mistress of Mesmerism and the musicals, Dr. Fright's Dead Man's Party and Love at First Fright. Great America tricks out its rides including the Viper coaster, which will be Snakes on a Train, and the Great America Raceway, which will be transformed into Dead End Drive. For younger kids, there will be The Manny B Monster Show and a Trick-or-Treat Trail.
Kentucky

The event kicks off each evening with a parade. The haunted house, Nightmare, Inc., will require an extra fee. Shows will include Madam ZeldaÕs Spooky Stories and the motion simulator attraction, Elvira's Superstition. Two rides, the bumper cars and the Tin Lizzies, will receive a Halloween makeover. During the day, younger kids can enjoy the trick-or-treat trail, pumpkin painting, and other toned-down fun. There will also be a Monster Mash Dance Party.
Maryland

Six Flags America will feature a bunch of Fright Fest shows, including the 70s-themed Disco Inferno (I always suspected disco was the devil's music), Scooby-Doo Mystery Theater, Scary Show the 13th, and the Monster Mash Bash (geared to younger kids). The event will also offer the Frighttorium Haunted House, and a trick-or-treat trail, pumpkin patch, and Not-so-Scary Kiddie Hayride for the young 'uns.
Massachusetts

The park will present haunted houses such as Tombstone Terror-tory and Midnight Mansion, scare zones, and shows. It also offers the Wicked Woods, a haunted trail that snakes through the woods down to the banks of the Connecticut River. During the day, it will offer more family-friendly activities, including a trick-or-treat trail, a Looney Tunes costume party, and a pumpkin patch.
Missouri

Haunts will include the Mansion of Terror haunted house, The Boneyard haunted hayride, and the Terror Train: Hangman's Curse. There will be a nightly BOOrade procession. Shows will include a monster party, The Klone of Rock-n-Roll, and Jim Mackenzie's Intrepid Comedy Sideshow Spectacular. The park will offer special activities for younger kids, including trick-or-treating, crafts, and storytelling.
