Powder Keg Launched Coaster at Silver Dollar City
A brief computer-generated rendering of the Powder Keg launched roller coaster coming to Silver Dollar City in 2005. Described by the park as a "family ride," the coaster will use a compressed air launch to blast out of the station and go from 0 to 53 mph in 3 seconds. The ride won't include any inversions and will reach a maximum height of 110 feet.
Review:
The video uses CG animation, but overlays a sepia tone and "scratchy" film effects to give a purposely dated look. It is quite short and only shows the coaster's launch and a few highlights from the ride. Still, it looks as if Powder Keg will be, er, a blast.Available Formats:
