Splash Island Water Park Overview:
The medium-sized Polynesian-themed water park offers a great way for guests to cool down, particularly during Florida's steamy summer season. The park offers the usual water park suspects: The Kowabunga Bay wave pool, the Paradise River action river, the Tonga Tubes and Voodoo Plunge water slides, and the Polynesian Adventure water play structure. It is a bit skimpy on atractions for toddlers and younger children.
When the new owners took over the defunct Cypress Gardens in 2004, they added a lot of contemporary attitude in addition to preserving the park's traditional features; the water park reflects some of that contemporary attitude.
