From Chicago: I-290W to I-88W (Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway). Rt. 56W toward Sugar Grove to Rt. 47S toward Sugar Grove. Park is on Rt. 47 at 4000 North Bridge Street.

From Rockville: Rt. 20E toward Belvidere to I-39S toward Bloomington to I-88E (Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) to Rt. 47S. Park is on Rt. 47 at 4000 North Bridge Street.

Reduced price for children (under 48") and seniors (62+). Ages 2 and under are free. Reduced rates for guests arriving 3 p.m. and later. Private cabanas are available for rent. Season passes and group rates are available. Special promotions may be available online at the park's Web site. Parking is free.

Raging Waves Waterpark

Billed as Chicagoland's largest water park, the Australian-themed Raging Waves offers a huge assortment of watery diversions including the Boomerang funnel ride, the Cyclone bowl ride, a family tube ride, and a great collection of body slides, tube slides, and speed slides. After waiting in the lines and experiencing the thrills of the slides, the Kookaburra Kreek lazy river is a great way to mellow out and stay cool.

The huge Great Barrier Reef wave pool also offers a cool respite, albeit with the occasional surf pounding into you. Younger kids will enjoy the multi-level, interactive water play center, which features a dump bucket along with smaller water slides and loads of soak-worthy sprayers and other user-activated gizmos.
