Park Overview:
A medium-sized park, Hurricane Alley offers respite from the Gulf Coast's notorious heat. Located near the heart of the city and directly off the highway, it is easy to find. While it lacks the quantity of slides and attractions found at larger parks, such as Schlitterbahn, it does offer a nice lineup of rides for thrill-seekers, families, and younger children.
Perhaps the most thrilling attraction is the Cat 5 tower which offer two 6-story slides that riders tackle aboard 2-person tubes. Storm Chaser, a 4-lane racing slide, combines thrills and competition.
Smaller guests will enjoy the less challenging slides and water play features on the USS Dusty, an attraction themed as an aircraft carrier. They can also soak one another on The Diamond, a spray deck that incorporates a baseball theme (in homage to the adjacent minor league field.)
Visitors can also beat the heat at the Riptide Hideaway, a swim-up bar that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
