The Boardwalk: The SEAquel- Water park expansion
Hersheypark still isn't calling its impressive collection of water rides a "water park," but with this summer's addition of a huge wave pool and a lazy river, it offers more watery diversions than some actual water parks.

Flying Turns - Roller coaster
The Flying Turns will re-create the bobsled-like wooden coasters that were popular decades ago. The delayed ride was supposed to have opened three seasons ago. The park says that the third time should be the charm and it really will open in 2009.

Sesame Place
Langhorne (near Philadelphia)
The Count's Splash Castle - Water attraction
The interactive water play center will include valves, sprayers, and dozens of other gizmos for guests to soak themselves and each other. It will also include water slides and water curtains, and will be capped off by a giant tipping bucket with an image of Sesame Street's number-crunching character, The Count.

Wiggle's World land

A new Wiggle's World area will have (very) young children wiggling along to rides and shows based on the popular TV program. The new land will also offer a Wiggles-themed restaurant. The popular characters will even visit the park.

Glow in the Park Parade

A spiffy new nighttime Glow in the Park Parade (which is also featurd at other Six Flags parks) will incorporate music, singing, dancing, floats, stilt walkers, and lots of twinkly lights.

Hornet junior steel coaster
This is a transplanted coaster from Texas' defunct Six Flags Astroworld, where it was known as the Mayan Mindbender, a mild indoor coaster.

The Sesame Street-themed kid-sized roller coaster, Grover's Alpine Express will be one of the highlights of the park's new Sesame Street Forest of Fun. Other rides will include Elmo's Castle, an interactive water play area and Bert and Ernie's Loch Adventure, a mini flume ride. Also, a new Sesame Street 4D attraction (3D film plus in-theater sensory effects) will debut.

La Ronde

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Live walk-through haunted experience.

Beginning June 19, La Ronde will be presenting The Mummy. Described as a walk-through, interactive, haunted experience with live actors, the attraction will immerse visitors in the world of The Mummy films. The touring presentation, which debuted at Dreamworld park in Australia, will be at La Ronde for a limited run through early September. Yes, this is the same Mummy (based on the popular movies) that's featured in the Revenge of the Mummy coaster/dark rides at Universal Studios parks in Florida and Hollywood.
