MICHIGAN

MINNESOTA

The Park at Mall of America
Bloomington (near the Twin Cities)
The park formerly known as Camp Snoopy has signed a deal with Nickelodeon. Expect characters from the popular cable TV network to be added to the park, as well as a new name and themeing. A mini freefall tower will also be added this season.

MISSOURI

Silver Dollar City

The GIANT Swing
A Screamin' Swing thrill ride debuts this year.

Six Flags St. Louis
Eureka, near (...come on, you know what city it's near)
Tony Hawk's Big Spin
A spinning coaster based on the popular skateboarder debuts this season. With a height of 48 feet and a top speed of 31 mph, this will be a relatively mild family coaster.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Canobie Lake Park
Salem (near the MA border)
Xtreme Frisbee
New thrill ride debuts this season, along with a new entrance plaza.

NEW JERSEY

Six Flags Great Adventure
Jackson, NJ
Wiggle's World and Wild Safari Exploration Station
A new Wiggle's World area will have (very) young children wiggling along to rides and shows based on the popular TV program. And, after guests drive through the Wild Safari, they will be able to park, leave their cars, and interact with animals, such as exotic birds, snakes, and monkeys, at the new Exploration Station.

NEW YORK

Darien Lake
Darien Center (near Buffalo), New York
To help relieve its debt, Six Flags sold the park. It will be open for the 2007 season (and beyond), but it will not bear the Six Flags name.

The Great Escape
Queensbury (near Lake George), New York
Tornado

Double-launched terrain coaster Kings Island
Mason (near Cincinnati), Ohio
Firehawk and Son of Beast
Firehawk is a flying coaster that will be new to Kings Island this season, but will be relocated from Geauga Lake (where it was known as X-Flight). Also, Son of Beast, the world's tallest wood coaster, will be losing its signature loop.
