Overview:

Once owned by Six Flags, the chain sold the 53-acre SplashTown water park in Houston before the 2007 season. Among its more thrilling aquatic attractions are the 75-ft tall, 132-ft long Tornado tube ride, the five-story Texas Freefall, and the enclosed Space Rapids tube slides, whose pitch-dark interiors are designed to make riders feel as if they are floating through space.

For those more inclined to keep their heads above water (as it were), the park offers plenty of more relaxing fare as well, including a 500,000 gallon wave pool and the meandering Guadalupe River Adventure. Children of all sizes will enjoy the multiple aquatic activity areas comprised of Crocodile Isle, Treehouse Island, the Leaky Pipes, and the Blue Lagoon Activity Pool, which feature a number of wet and wild interactive water elements like spray cannons, tipping buckets, fountains, geysers, lily pads, and much more.
