One of the earliest indoor water park resorts (in the indoor water park capital of the world, Wisconsin Dells), the Kalahari offers 125,000 square feet of indoor water park rides and attractions. Is that the largest in America? Well, no. It's been upstaged by the...Kalahari. Its sister property in Sandusky, Ohio, also called the Kalahari, expanded in late 2007 and now offers a 173,000-square-foot water park under one roof.
The three separate indoor water parks at the nearby Wilderness total 250,000 square feet. And a mega indoor water park resort is under development in Las Vegas that, when and if it opens, would top the Kalahari and Wilderness.
