Great Wolf Lodge California is under development and not open. The planned opening is in 2013.
The Great Wolf Lodge at InternationalWest in Garden Grove will mark the company's first location in California--and the first indoor water park resort of any kind in the state. It will offer the same kind of fun as the chain's other highly themed resorts in Wisconsin Dells, Sandusky, Ohio, Niagara Falls, and elsewhere. At a planned 100,000 square feet, the California water park will be one of the biggest in the Great Wolf Lodge portfolio and among the biggest indoor water parks in the world. In addition to the usual water park suspects, such as a lazy river, wave pool, and water slides, the Garden Grove property will likely feature some signature attractions such as a funnel ride or water coaster
Full-fledged resorts, all Great Wolf Lodges feature huge arcades with redemption games, on-site restaurants, fitness centers, and Aveda Concept Spas to pamper and help get the wrinkles out of waterlogged guests. The California resort will also offer a 30,000-square-foot conference center.
Non-watery things to do at Great Wolf Lodges include the MagiQuest interactive attraction. The extra-charge experience immerses players in a high-tech, multi-player fantasy environment that is somewhat like walking into a video game. The resorts also offer a Cub Club activity center for younger children and a Gr8 Space club for older children. For tween girls, there's a Scooops (sic) Kid Spa that offers pedicures and other treatments. The California Great Wolf Lodge plans to offer 600 kid-friendly accommodations and will include all-suite guest rooms.

Water Park Square Footage:
As with the other Great Wolf Resorts, it is expected that water park admission will be included in the room rate. It is likely that the water park will be open to registered hotel guests only and not the general public.

Indoor Water Park Features:
While Great Wolf Lodge has not announced the actual attractions, its water parks are similar and the Gaarden Grove Great Wolf Lodge will likely include tube slides, body slides, kiddie slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, whirlpool spas, and Great Wolf's signature interactive play structure with tipping bucket. From renderings, it also appears that the water park will include a funnel ride.
