Overview:
Younger kids will enjoy the interactive play center, Parrot's Perch, which has small slides and a tipping bucket. The area also contains a "Dip-In Theatre," a shallow pool with a constant loop of movies and cartoons. Given the cacophony of noise and competing visuals in the park, I don't think anybody ever actually watches the screen.
Unlike larger indoor water parks, such as Great Wolf Lodge Pocono Mountains, the Connecticut park lacks marquee attractions like a water coaster, simulated surfing ride, or a funnel ride. Lacking any potent thrills, CoCo Key is ideally geared to families with children 11 and under.
There are fast food stands inside the park from Pizza Hut and A&W Root Beer. There is a table-service restaurant inside the hotel.
The resort offers guest rooms and suites, as well as an arcade with redemption games, conference facilities, party rooms, an enormous ballroom, and a fitness room. The water park's colorful, tropical theme does not extend to the hotel side of the facility.
If you are looking for more wet fun, you can find info about CoCo Key water parks other than the one in Waterbury.
