CoCo Key Water Resort at Sheraton FerncroftCoCo Key Water Resort Indoor Water Park at the Sheraton Ferncroft Overview:
The CoCo Key Water Resort is a medium-sized indoor water park themed to Key West and the first major indoor water park resort in New England. While it lacks a wave pool and the signature attractions found at larger parks, such as a water coaster or a surfing ride, it does offer plenty of watery diversions including two body slides, the Barracuda Blast and Pelican Plunge raft slides, a lazy river (filled with not-so-lazy passenger-triggered sprayers), and an indoor-to-outdoor spa.It also offers the Parrot's Perch interactive play center with smaller slides and a tipping bucket. For younger children, the park offers the "Dip-In Theatre," a shallow pool with pint-sized slides and a constant display of movies and cartoons--although listening to the soundtrack is just about impossible amid the general cacophony. A lily pad walk and an activity pool with water basketball round out the water park attractions. Outside the water park, CoCo Key offers an arcade that includes redemption games and prizes.
Dining inside the park, including fast food from Pizza Hut and A&W Root Beer, is nothing to get too excited about. More adventurous diners may want to check out the nicely appointed restaurant at the Sheraton Ferncroft.
The hotel offers a variety of guest rooms, meeting and convention facilities, function rooms, a large fitness center that includes racquetball and saunas, and a day spa with a salon. 18-hole and 9-hole golf courses are adjacent to the resort.
