Note that Aqua Mountain Indoor Water Park Resort is in the planning stages. Originally projected to open in late 2009 or early 2010, the project is on hold and may not open at all. The following info was provided by the developers when the water park was first announced.
The resort will include a large indoor water park with a rustic Adirondacks theme. It will feature a generous number of water slides, although, according to the info released thus far, it will not offer any signature attractions such as an uphill water coaster, a FlowRider surfing attraction, or a family raft ride. It will also feature a retractable roof that could be opened when the weather allows in the summer.
In addition to the indoor water park, the resort will offer a 165-unit hotel with suites and lofts as well as 60 log cabin condos. Other features of the resort will include restaurants, a spa, banquet services, and a game room arcade.
McHenry, Maryland. The property will be located adjacent to Garrett County Fairgrounds and near Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Ski Resort.
