The concept of indoor water parks began in Wisconsin Dells in 1994 and migrated throughout the Midwest, including Michigan, (and then around the US) soon thereafter. There are a number of hotels with water parks around the state, which follow. Click on a park for additional info.

There are some very small parks, including Surfari Joe's in Watervliet and Big Dip Water Park in Grand Rapids. Below are larger indoor water parks, including Great Wolf Lodge, which is part of a chain, and Avalanche Bay, the biggest indoor water park in Michigan. Parks are listed alphabetically.
