Carousel Gardens Amusement Park

.
Dixie Landin'
Baton Rouge
(225) 753-3333
Small amusement park, includes a boomerang steel coaster. One price includes admission to the Blue Bayou waterpark.
Six Flags New Orleans
New Orleans
(504) 253-8100
The park has been closed since Hurricane Katrina, and it's unclear whether the damaged park will reopen. Six Flags took over the park in 2002 when the folks that built the park in 2000 ran into some financial trouble. Includes the Mega Zeph wooden coaster and Jocco's Mardi Gras Madness, an interactive dark ride. Some of the rides have been designed to evoke Pontchartrain Beach, a gone-but-not-forgotten New Orleans amusement park landmark.
