My goal is to have the Web's most comprehensive list of U.S. theme parks. Be sure to include the name of the park, its location, phone number, Web site URL, and a brief description. Thanks!

Funtown Splashtown U.S.A.
Saco (near Old Orchard Beach)
(800) 878-2900
A nice, if a bit oddly designed, medium-sized park. In the late 1990s, it began investing in some exciting attractions, including the Excalibur wooden coaster. Also features the adjacent Splashtown U.S.A. waterpark.

Palace Playland
Old Orchard Beach
(207) 934-2001
A traditional, small seaside amusement park. Its wooden coaster burned down long ago and its glory days along with it. Other attractions at the beach include a long, joint-filled pier and dozens of tacky T-shirt shops. Oh yeah, the beach itself is pretty nice.

York's Wild Kingdom
York Beach (in the southern part of the state)
(207) 363-4911
More a zoo than an amusement park, York's does include a few tired rides. The beach area also includes a wonderful candy shop and other vintage remnants of its turn-of-century past.
