Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
Victoria & Albert's is unquestionably the place to dine if you are celebrating something special at Walt Disney World. And it doesn't matter what: an anniversary, your honeymoon, or simply being on vacation. Any is reason enough to enjoy a dinner in this, Disney's most exclusive dining destination. Each evening, "V and A's" features two seatings in its serene dining rooms. Each table is served by "Victoria and Albert," a maid and butler team. The menu features what is best and freshest in the international marketplace and nothing is too fine (or too expensive) for this great restaurant: foie gras, caviar, pheasant, duck, or Kobe beef. With award-winning chef Scott Hunnel in the kitchen, expect a masterpiece of every course. Victoria & Albert's is not your everyday, extraordinary dining experience. Be sure to opt for the Royal Wine Pairing to enjoy a specially selected wine for each course.
1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
Every Disney vacation deserves a character meal, and we think the best in the land is here at the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare. This is a great buffet and we promise you'll find plenty to savor, no matter what your tastes: prime rib, roast ham, pastas, fish, fresh salads and vegetables, and much, much more. This restaurant always seems to have the best assortment of Disney characters. Last year, 1900 Park featured the Disney Villains. This year, 1900 Park Fare's character dinner has Cinderella and her storybook friends. About the only drawback to 1900 Park Fare is that it is quite noisy. But a meal here is lots of fun and you'll be sure to get enough time with all the characters to satisfy your youngsters and to provide some unforgettable photo opportunities. Ask your server to take the pictures.
Citricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
Citricos is another great choice found here at the Grand. Quiet and beautiful, this is one terrific restaurant. Citrico's menu is painted from a palette of what is best in the marketplace each day and draws its inspiration from Tuscany, the Provence, and the Spanish Riviera. Expect such delights as jumbo crab cakes, grilled swordfish, roast duck, rack of lamb, and filet of beef. Be sure to try Citricos wine pairing. Tip: arrange a meal here during Magic Kingdom fireworks and ask for a table with a view.
Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot
We've never taken the Disney theme park restaurants seriously until chef Roland Muller moved from Citricos to Epcot's Coral Reef Restaurant. We had heard that the food here had gotten better and on our recent visit, we were not disappointed. In fact, we were delighted to discover that theme park food can be as good as (or better than) that in the resorts. Chef Muller and his team offer an imaginatively conceived and perfectly prepared menu of seafood, for both lunch and dinner (lunch has many of the same dishes at lower prices). The Coral Reef is the only theme park restaurant we have ever awarded four stars.
