The vintage "Hollywood Tower Hotel" that serves as the ride's setting will find a natural home in SoCal. The attraction will be located in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area of Disney's California Adventure. Expect screaming riders to be upping the decibel levels in that part of the park.
If you've been waiting for your prince to come some day, that day may very well be in late February, when Disneyland Park opens the curtains on "Snow White-- An Enchanting Musical." If it's anything like the production of Aladdin that debuted last year at Disney's California Adventure, or the gone-but-not-forgotten Hunchback of Notre Dame Show at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida, this should be a wonderful show.
The live, 28-minute adaptation of the classic film will feature tunes that are permanently ingrained in our collective conscious such as "Whistle While You Work," "Heigh Ho," and the alluded-to "Some Day...." The production will have the input of a creative team with impressive Broadway and musical theater pedigrees.
If you're heading to Disneyland in 2004, be aware that Space Mountain will be closed all year. The park is renovating the classic attraction and plans to debut the retooled ride in 2005 for Disneyland's 50th anniversary.
