Great Wolf Resorts Float MagiQuest Attractions

Monday November 26, 2007
The main feature at an indoor water park resort, as you might expect, is the water park. But the resorts, particularly the larger ones, typically offer a host of "dry" activities as well. For example, the Great Wolf Resorts recently began rolling out MagiQuest interactive attractions at their properties. The extra-charge experience immerses players in a high-tech, multi-player fantasy environment that is somewhat like walking into a video game. Each participant is issued a personalized wand that triggers effects and records data as guests move through tableaus and engage in the adventure. MagiQuest is available at the Great Wolf Resorts in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, Williamsburg, Virginia, Traverse City, Michigan, Kansas City, Kansas, and Mason, Ohio (next to Kings Island). The Great Wolf Lodges coming to Grapevine, Texas (opening in December) and Grand Mound, Washington (opening next year) will also offer MagiQuest. There is a standalone MagiQuest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as well. The company that creates the MagiQuest attractions also developed the interactive Wiley's Woods game for the flagship Great Wolf Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
