Two Ohio Indoor Water Parks Now Tipping their Buckets
Tuesday December 19, 2006
Speaking of Kings Island (see yesterday's posting about the Son of Beast coaster), the adjacent Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park resort just opened. It marks the third indoor water park affiliated with an amusement park. The other two are Castaway Bay at Ohio's Cedar Point and Six Flags Great Escape Lodge in New York. The 75,000-square-foot Great Wolf Lodge at Kings Island features an uphill water coaster, a bowl ride, and 11 water slides. The CoCo Key Water Resort at Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, Ohio, also just opened. The 50,000-square-foot indoor water park features the Barracuda Blast 2-person raft slide and the "Dip-In Theatre," a shallow pool with a constant display of movies and cartoons.
