Universal's Horror Double Feature

Friday June 25, 2004
I know that it's barely summer, but let's turn our attention to pumpkins and things that go bump in the night, OK? Universal Orlando moved its popular Halloween Horror Nights from Universal Studios Florida to Islands of Adventure a few years back. Well, this year, the macabre celebration will spread across BOTH parks. The 14th incarnation of the event will run for 18 nights during the month of October and will include seven new haunted mazes, the return of the Halloween parade, and a haunted cornfield (with real corn-- the field has already been plowed and seeded). Islands has been a great site for Halloween Horror Nights, but my guess is that the new Mummy ride at the Studios made that park an irresistible addition to the event. (The huge HHN crowds might have something to do with the expansion as well.) Halloween Horror Nights is a rollicking, wild, great time. Check out my photos from last year's event--if you dare!
