Take this Web Site and Shove It

Monday May 10, 2004
British theme park Alton Towers created a clever marketing campaign built around an "I Hate Work" theme. Through the end of May, the park is offering special reduced mid-week rates and is targeting 9-to-5-ers that want to "escape the workplace rat-race." To promote the program, Alton Towers developed an I Hate Work Web site. Here's where it gets funny: England's Federation of Small Businesses blasted the park for encouraging absenteeism and characterized the promotion as "unethical and irresponsible," according to Amusement Business. When you've finished laughing, GET BACK TO WORK!
