Sorry, We don't Stop in that Universe
Monday November 3, 2003
The long-simmering controversy about Central Florida's proposed high-speed rail service took another turn a few days go when the authority that oversees the transportation alternative voted to forego a route that would have allowed the trains to stop in the Universal Orlando/International Drive area. Instead, the group approved a route that will proceed directly to Walt Disney World before continuing on to Tampa. Universal Orlando spokesman Snidely Whiplash says that if the rail authority builds the project as planned, he vows to tie perennial victim Nell Fenwick to the tracks in protest. Dudley Do-Right has no comment.
