There are plenty of guidebooks about Disneyland out there. But there is nothing quite like "The Disneyland Book," a new entry in the genre.
Written by my About.com colleague, Betsy Malloy (the Guide to California Travel), the book is a cheerful ode to the iconic theme park and is jam-packed with highly useful and practical tips. But what truly distinguishes it from other guides is that it presents the info in a fun, highly visual, and engaging style. Written like a comic book with panels and word balloons, but incorporating actual photos (taken by Betsy) instead of drawings, it pops with bright colors and is a joy to read. It is available as a physical book or as a PDF that can be accessed by a Kindle, iPad, or any computer. I've been to Disneyland many times and consider myself quite knowledgeable, but I picked up a few pointers, and had a ball doing it.
