Winged coasters, such as this season's X-Flight and Wild Eagle, are apparently becoming quite popular. Placing riders to the left and right of the track, or the "wings" of a ride, the coasters offer an interesting perspective and coaster experience. Today, Cedar Point announced a doozy of a winged coaster that will debut in 2013. Called GateKeeper, it will be located at the front of the park and send passengers soaring towards two towers with "keyhole" elements that will straddle the main gate. If you're wondering what the heck that means, check out this animated preview video of GateKeeper.
