My son married a lovely woman from Spain, and my family and I recently traveled to her hometown for the wedding. While in the country, I got to visit a park that's long been on my must-see list: PortAventura. Located near Barcelona, the charming park features themed lands such as China and the Far West (it's a bit odd for an expat park journalist to see the Spanish interpretation of the American Old West), a new Sesame Street area, lots of wonderful restaurants, and good shows. And it doesn't skimp on the thrills. Case in point: Furius Baco, one of the world's fastest roller coasters. Read my review of the hill-less, virtually element-less, speed-crazy ride.
