You may not know the name Wayne Allwine. But you certainly are familiar with his work. For the past 32 years, he provided the voice of Mickey Mouse. According to UPI, Mr. Allwine died on Monday of complications from diabetes. He was the third voice actor, after Walt Disney and legendary sound technician Jimmy MacDonald, to portray the beloved character. Mr. Allwine's voice can be heard as Mickey throughout all of the Disney theme parks as well as in films such as 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and 1983's Mickey's Christmas Carol. His wife, Russi Taylor, is the voice of Minnie Mouse.
