Get Carded at Disneyland
Monday January 19, 2009
When people ask me for advice about their theme park trips, I often tell them to try to zag when everybody else is zigging. That is, if you can avoid planning your visits during the summer, holidays, and other high-traffic times, you'll be able to avoid massive crowds and score some good deals to boot. That advice is especially true this year. With the economy tanking, parks are offering all kinds of off-season deals to drum up some business. Case in point: Disneyland. The resort is already giving away free park passes as birthday gifts, letting adults into the parks for kids' prices, throwing in free airfare for kids, and tossing in a fourth night free for guests who book three nights at Disneyland-area hotels. Now, the Mouse is giving away Disney gift cards to guests who book stays at the three on-property Disneyland Resort hotels for visits through April 30, 2009. Valued at $50 for a two-night stay, $100 for a three- night stay, or $150 for a four-night stay, the cards can be used at Disneyland Resort restaurants and shops.
