Six Flags Over Skynet
Terminator Coaster Coming to California
Thursday October 23, 2008
At first glance, the Terminator films would seem to be a great inspiration for a coaster. But Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California, which is planning to debut Terminator: The Coaster in spring 2009, will be basing its ride on a wooden coaster. In general, woodies don't lend themselves well to high-concept themes. What's more, Skynet is already being blown to smithereens on a daily basis a few miles away from the Six Flags park at Universal Studio Hollywood's wonderful Terminator 2:3-D attraction. Still, the coaster ride itself, which is being designed and built by the acclaimed Great Coasters International (GCI), should be wonderful. Read more about Terminator: The Coaster.
