Nothing but Blue Skies at Disney's California Adventure

Friday October 17, 2008
There are major changes--to the tune of over $1 billion--coming to Disney's California Adventure. Guests will be able to see the work in progress at the new Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar that's set to open on Monday, October 20. Located in a building in the Golden Wine Vinery section of the park that used to present a short film about winemaking, the exhibit hall will include models, sketches, videos, and other items culled from the Imagineers working on the extensive makeover of the park. Guests will be able to see plans for additions and improvements such as a revised entrance area, the Disney's World of Color nighttime lagoon show, and the new Cars land. Photo: One of the models at the Blue Sky Cellar is of a Red Car trolley that will travel along the revamped 1920's-era entrance of Disney's California Adventure. Disney, 2008. Used with permission.
