Boomerang Flies from Ohio to North Carolina

Thursday July 31, 2008
Park chain Cedar Fair has doled out many of the orphaned rides from Geauga Lake, its recently shuttered Ohio amusement park. (The water park remains open.) For example, the standard issue Boomerang coaster that had been known as Head Spin at Geauga is now on site and under construction at Carowinds in North Carolina. It will reopen next season as that park's 13th roller coaster. Other beneficiaries of Geauga Lake's castoffs include Kings Dominion in Virginia, Dorney Park in Pennsylvania, and Michigan's Adventure. Are you curious about what happened to Geauga Lake, Six Flags Ohio, and SeaWorld Ohio? You can find out more on my Geauga Lake profile.
