Knievel to Kap Kareer at Kings Island

Friday May 9, 2008
You may want to get your motor running over to Kings Island, near Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday, May 24. That evening, motorcycle daredevil "Kaptain" Robbie Knievel is set to jump 24 trucks in what is being reported will be the final stunt of his career, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Knievel is the son of legendary motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel who passed away in 2007. The senior Knievel launched his motorcycle over 14 Greyhound buses at the Ohio amusement park for a highly publicized stunt in 1975. It's unlikely that Six Flags will be raising any flags in honor of the May 24 jump. Six Flags St. Louis is opening the Evel Knievel wooden coaster this season and the park chain is probably none too thrilled that rival Cedar Fair, whose portfolio of parks includes Kings Island, is stealing some of its Knievel thunder.
