Lost Temple Musical Found at Legoland

Thursday April 24, 2008
Most of the attractions at Legoland, California's quirky park based on the famous plastic toys, are post-linguistic. Even the characters in its 4-D films communicate via gibberish. This allows the attractions to be replicated in the chain's European and U.S. parks without any translation modifications. It also makes the California park accessible for non-English-speaking visitors. This May, however, Legoland will break tradition and debut a 25-minute musical show that will presumably incorporate actual words. Journey to the Lost Temple will feature characters from the park's new Land of Adventure area, including explorer Johnny Thunder and a sultry Cleopatra. The show will pull 30 audience members to join in the production. Later this summer, Legoland will open a separate-admission Sea Life aquarium adjacent to its theme park.
