Quit Dreamin', Start Clickin'

Monday March 24, 2008
There are a few ways you could see the Disneyland Dream Suite. You could go to the California resort, be in the right place at the right time, be chosen as one of the winners to stay in the luxurious quarters, and be escorted up to the exclusive hideaway. As a second, more realistic option, you could check out the photo gallery I put together after I got to preview the suite. Or, you could click over to the new Dream Suite Virtual Tour that the folks at Disneyland created. It's a super-slick presentation that includes 360-degree navigation of the suite's rooms, lots of interactive features, surprise cameos by Disney characters, vintage videos, Easter egg surprises, and other goodies. The suite is located above the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and was originally intended to be a charming apartment for Walt Disney and his family. Disneyland's visionary never lived to see his grand plans realized, but four decades later, Imagineers have used the apartment's original illustrations as a guide and transformed the space into the Dream Suite.
