Coasting Over Waldameer's Ravine- See the Video
Wednesday December 26, 2007
Waldameer, a traditional amusement park along the banks of Lake Erie in Erie, Pennsylvania, has a new wood coaster coming in 2008, and the ride's manufacturer, The Gravity Group, has posted an animated preview video. Dubbed Ravine Flyer II (the original Ravine Flyer operated at the park from 1922 to 1938), the out-and-back coaster will fly over a four-lane highway adjacent to the park on an arched bridge. The coaster will also use the park's natural terrain, including its namesake ravine, to deliver a wild ride with plenty of banked turns and pops of airtime. See the Ravine Flyer II video.
