Ski resorts are only open in the winter. Outdoor water parks are only open in the summer. But a ski resort that builds an indoor water park can be open year round. That's the plan for Greek Peak, a ski resort near Ithaca and Syracuse in Cortland, New York. When it opens in December 2007, The Cascades Indoor Waterpark will feature six water slides, an indoor/outdoor whirlpool spa, and an interactive play center with a tipping bucket. There will also be an activity area for toddlers as well as a swim-up bar for adults. The Cascades will be part of Hope Lake Lodge resort, which will offer guest rooms, meeting and conference facilities, a fitness room, a restaurant, a lounge, and a full-service spa.
