Wood Coaster Rumblings in Kentucky

Monday February 6, 2006
There is a bit of a wood coaster boomlet happening this season. While wild new steel coasters like Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia are causing a stir, enormous woodies like El Toro at New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure and The Voyage at Indiana's Holiday World are also generating lots of excitement. Add Kentucky's Beech Bend Park to the 2006 wood coaster roll call. Its Kentucky Rumbler will travel over 2800 feet and reach a top speed of 48 MPH. The thrill machine's manufacturer, Great Coasters International of Pennsylvania, describes its banked, twisting first drop as an "Aeroplane" dive. Woodies, which have adoring fans among park enthusiasts, generally provide more of a rough and tumble ride than steel coasters.

How you think when the economic crisis will end? I wish to make statistics of independent opinions!
