Kalahari Ohio: World's Biggest Indoor Water Park?

Wednesday January 11, 2006
The massive African-themed Kalahari resort in Sandusky, Ohio features one of the world's largest indoor water parks. And I have an exclusive scoop: It's about to get a whole lot bigger. The resort is about to begin work on an 80,000-sq.-ft. expansion of its indoor water park, and anticipates opening it by the end of the summer. At an approximate total of 160,000 sq. ft., that may give the Kalahari Ohio bragging rights as the world's biggest indoor water park resort. It will also be opening a huge convention center this August. Among its many current attractions is the Kalahari Surfari, a FlowRider surfing simulator ride, the world's first (indoor or outdoor) uphill Zip Coaster, and a ton of slides. A full-featured getaway, the Kalahari offers a host of activities beyond its world-class water park, and is a veritable family vacation paradise. Read more.

The biggest Water park is the Kalahari, but it the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells,WI. It is acctually bigger than the one in Ohio, and the one in the Wisconsin Dells was built first, and its got alot more rides, and stuff to do.
