It's a Miracle: Florida Coaster to Roll Again

Cypress Gardens, the born-again park in Winter Haven, Florida that's been posting some impressive visitor numbers since it reopened late last year, will welcome a new wood coaster, but not until 2007. The Starliner is actually a classic, 42-year-old ride that Cypress Gardens' owner Kent Buescher rescued when Miracle Strip Amusement Park in Florida's Panama City closed. He had been considering adding the relocated coaster to his Wild Adventures park in Georgia, but decided to keep it in Florida. Cypress Gardens will be presenting a Christmas Wonderland holiday event, complete with a Color Me Christmas Poinsettia Festival, starting November 18.
