Williamsburg's Great Wolf Lodge is Doing...Great
Friday August 19, 2005
It's only been open since late March, but the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park resort in Williamsburg, VA is doing so well that expansion plans are already underway. According to Great Wolf Resorts, the company won't be increasing the size of the 55,000-square-foot waterpark, but it will be adding at least three new slides or rides to the existing facility. Plans also call for the addition of 100 guest suites, including kids-themed suites with two bedrooms. Among the attractions that the waterpark currently offers are a wave pool, a family raft ride, and Fort Mackenzie, a four-story interactive water play center with bridges, net crawls, and a bunch of sprayers, fountains, and other gizmos to get everyone soaked. Construction is slated to begin in a few weeks and the new features will be ready in Fall 2006.
