King of Da Coaster Jungle Roars Again

Friday August 5, 2005
Six Flags Great Adventure is once again rocketing thrill seekers 456 feet in the air at 128 mph. Kingda Ka, the world's tallest, fastest roller coaster reopened at the New Jersey park yesterday after a malfunction knocked it out of commission about two months ago. According to Six Flags, the ride's manufacturer has worked with the park's engineers to ensure that the malfunction does not reoccur. A piece of the liner cover above Kingda Ka's launch track came loose and damaged parts of the coaster's train and other ride components. The signature coaster, which debuted a few weeks before the malfunction, has been highly anticipated by park fans.
