AFAIK, Worlds of Fun is the First Park to Offer Text Messaging

Cell phones are nearly ubiquitous these days, and theme parks often showcase the latest technology, so it's no surprise that Worlds of Fun just began offering an innovative text messaging service to its guests. Called Text Connection, the Kansas City, MO park keeps guests inside the park in the know about things such as show times, special offers, and short ride lines by sending out text messages. The service is free, but guests need to sign up, which they can do online. Worlds of Fun also rolled out Special Offers Messaging which delivers info via text message to help guests who are planning a visit to the park. HF! (For you TM illiterates, that's text-message-talk for "have fun.")
