Myrtle Beach's Soft Sand, Hard Rock

Tuesday July 12, 2005
After a few months without a peep, the developers of the proposed Hard Rock Park are cranking up their amps again. According to The Sun News, the folks behind the planned Myrtle Beach theme park want to secure private financing and are seeking a zoning change to help seal the deal. The South Carolina park would tie in with the popular restaurant chain and would be open year round. I think a rock-themed park is a natural and could be a huge hit. The site for the proposed park is a few miles inland. The Grand Strand is already home to a wonderful, traditional seaside park, The Myrtle Beach Pavilion.
