The Swimmer in the Dells

Monday July 11, 2005
Already home to 18 indoor water parks and a few outdoor parks, tiny Wisconsin Dells is the undisputed chlorination capital of the world. Not all of the indoor parks are the same size, however. The four biggies are the Wilderness, the Kalahari, the Great Wolf Lodge, and Treasure Island. The Chula Vista just announced its intentions to become biggie number five. The waterpark resort will triple in size, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and add an 80,000 square-foot water park scheduled to open next summer. That's a huge park, and it will probably include lots of the latest water attractions. The resort will also add 166 condo units and 30,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. Future improvements will include more hotel rooms, a reconfigured golf course, and other amenities.
